I first played Red Dog out west. I'm talkin' the old, wild American West. Some called it yablon back then. Today, some call it acey-deucey. Others like to call it in-between or "between the sheets" (Begad!) I like to call it "Scurvy Dog." As was true with so many games I played in the old west, cheaters prospered in this game. It eventually disappeared from the public eye (although it's always been a favorite below deck). The game resurfaced in Las Vegas in the 1930's and today the game is widely played.
